Reviews for "Galaxy Wars!"

Freezes a lot.

Eh.

Unique

I was satisfied with the experience. This game has a very different control setup that sets itself apart from others. The only thing I would improve upon would be making it longer and more in depth. This game is excellent and I look forward to a sequel. *crosses fingers*

Cool!

The control is great, and the enemies are always behaving someway new. This makes it a very fun to play addicting game. The story is wonderful, and the graphics are solid.
BUG REPORT: the continue screen shows once with all the buttons missing, so I can't even return to main screen.

Interesting

I've never been a big fan of games that involve sling controls, as moving too fast can result in response lag. However, for a game that revolves solely around sling movement, it was executed pretty well. The mini-asteroids were a nice touch, providing help in a style not unlike an option-ship in a shoot-em-up game.

If you plan on a remake or a sequel, there are some suggestions I would like to make:

-For the "restart level" option, if the score is going to reset to what it was at the start of the level, say that instead of "no score penalty".

-Make the game longer. It's hard to see the upgrades in action when there's only four levels.

-Additional upgrades:

-particle magnet--To help pull in the exp. if you're too busy dodging to save your life

-ship defense--Increasing collision damage is helpful, but useles if an enemy spawn point appears under you, and drains your health in two seconds.

-health regeneration/repair---While the game only has four levels, I'll admit that they are long. The "increase max health" upgrade shouldn't be the only way to heal yourself. There needs to be an upgrade that gives health regeneration, or a "repair" section in the upgrade menu, where one can spend exp. fragments/credits to restore X% of the ship's total health.

The game is a nice addition to the action genre, but with some extra time and elbow grease, the game as a whole can be improved. I hope that when that happens, I'll be able to give you a 10.

Fun!

Fun, unique controls for a game like this. Graphics and art design are cool, too. Well done!
