I currently use Reaper as my DAW, LASS for strings, TrueStrike for orchestra percussion, Superior Drummer 2.0 for the drums and shit-ton of free plugins to create my guitar sound, which I play myself. There's the synth, but I usually just take whatever plugins I have and experiment with them :P
All of it is heavily mixed to get a certain sound of course. And with free tools at that (Reaper's own plugins are there for free).
So there's some of the things I use, the main things I suppose. Cheers!
