Excellent artwork

Unfortunately everything else sucks. I'm very annoyed you've tried to turn Halo into an anime... and I like animes. Original ones that it is.

The story crawls along at a snails pace, and as others have pointed out it's not even cohesive with the original canon. You might as well have just started an entirely new universe and story, simply based on the Halo collection. Had you done this instead, my review would have been significantly more positive.

2/5

spend less time on the menu

and more time on making the animation have a point. this wasn't an episode, that was an introduction of an episode. not interesting in the least, or entertaining to watch.

also, you can use a motion tween to gradually change the brightness of a color once you convert whatever to a symbol. i noticed severe choppiness in the change of color while you transitioned light to dark to switch scenes.

this flash went nowhere, and there was lack of detail in the animation. the voice acting was alright, i guess. putting yourself in halo is unhealthy. your use of tweening was fine, except there was little real animation that i noticed. it's understandable that it takes a long time, but that doesn't mean it's not necessary for a good animation.

next time, put in more action, spend more time animating, and try perhaps using a tween as a base (tween the outline) and detail the inside by each frame. that'll cut some time and make it look much better.

add detail to characters.

Halo and Anime

This is mainly to Full-metal Albatross but it goes in general too.

For those of you Old schoolers who first played the original Halo its style was intended to replicate Japanese anime. In fact most of the Concepts were based off Shirow Masamune's work, just look at the original Cortada. So in truth HALO is a bastard Child of America and Japan. Bungie are huge anime fans and previous to HALO released a game called ONI which had a much heavier anime feel to it.

ANd I think we all know about the HALO Legends movie that is coming out. Halo legends is a movie in the vein of the Animatrix. DIfferent stories about various Spartans in the HALO universe done in various anime stylings.

So yeah HALO is sort of anime. The video was decent and if you have been watching the other it makes since(kinda) but yeah there was no action. Even soldiers don't fight all the time, this served simply as a device to advance the plot or maybe end the story.

Swelling ones ranks with Faux Elite soldiers is a common practice on the battle field. So its possible to have pseudo Spatans. Also for the Old schoolers you will remember that the Spartan Armor was derived from the ODST armor according to the original story.(No those stupid FanBoy books don't count and are totally non-canon)

boring

nothing happened
