Interesting
Good job. I wasn't sure about applying the Madness-esque face to more realistically humanoid bodies, but I realize now it was the best choice to convey a more dramatic message. I thought the kissing scene was a little cheesy, but the rest was well-done. Again, I wasn't so sure about the somewhat choppy animation at first, but it made the animation seem like a story board or a computer-friendly graphic novel. Also, I'm sure it allowed you to add a little extra detail -- nice planning.
I have some slight issues with the end -- it seemed like you sacrificed the story's overall quality for shock value -- really, what kind of kid carries a gun, and what message are you trying to convey by rewarding mercy and sentimentality with death? However, I can see how it added an additional layer to your framing and repetition of the pivotal scene. Now the red-head and the protagonist's son might have the opportunity to be in the same position as the other mom/son duos.
It was a unique take on Madness day, very good right up until the end. Nice job.
PS you should really make the Play button stick out a little more next time.

Strange ending, but it had a good story to it. Needs a little more combat tho great clip.
