Glitchy, but with tweaks could be very fun
I've long awaited some type of halo platformer, and this is great, besides the running glitch. I look forward to part 2, hoping you can improve on some of the minor bugs.
Also, the music does indeed loop.

Im sorry but with this i just cant accept. Im only passing you because I want to see if you can, in fact, do a better job with part 2

I gave a passing mark 'cause i can see u tried, and its your first time
not trying to be rude but it got kinda repetitive
also i found a few bugs...
Im not sure there is a point to the game
Also did u make the background art or did you find it on Google etc?
I wanna see u make a #2 to see if you actually got better or so.
Also i couldn't shoot for some reason...not even sure if you SHOULD shoot or so, dunno but when u press "A" he holds something out, not sure. Also the NPCs don't shoot either just stand there and hold out a gun/hand
another bug, when i jumped to a new platform i sometimes fell through it >.>
For #2...
Make the character faster, and bigger.
be able to shoot?
make a point to the story
try finding/making your own music,
make the main terrain more interesting, more than just blocks.
Make the objects look better, spice them up.
Also add your own ideas to it, so it wont be the same as halo...

Where's the instructions? Or anything like that? The character wa a bit jumpy when I did figure out how to finally get it to move. Most of the time it kind of twitched and stop moving. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a good start, just a few bugs in this version before you should work on the next.
