Reviews for "-Stick War-"

The best piece of advice you will get...

is to not spread your upgrade points too thin but not to focus them on one thing either. On the parts where they ambush you with two different types of units shit gets brutal if you have all your points spent only on archers, or only on speartons / swordsmen.

Great game. Lots of fun.

Very Nice

I really enjoyed the game. It brings back memories of the old greats of "Prince of War" and "Battle for Gondor". That said, "Stick War" surpasses those games in all areas, but I really would have liked to see a deeper storyline than was present.

"Why do we conquer the world?" ...honestly, I don't know the answer to that. It could be because we were oppressed and wanted freedom, but later in the game, it seems more like a quest for extermination of the other "races" than anything else.

- Great, fun, gameplay. Easy at first, challenging in the end, addictive all the way through.
- Art could have been better, but that's the great thing about stick games: they don't need to have mind-blowing art to be awesome. This game is testament to that.
- Music...great. When I don't notice the music, it means that its filling its purpose perfectly; creating ambiance and suspense in this case. I did recognize JAZZA's piece and Entering the Stronghold - both are wonderful.

Here's my score for "Normal" difficulty on my first play-through.

Lvl 01 finished in 1m and 0s!
Lvl 02 finished in 2m and 5s!

Lvl 06 finished in 2m and 18s!
Lvl 07 finished in 2m and 6s!
Lvl 08 finished in 1m and 54s!

Lvl 10 finished in 2m and 25s!

It sounds like you skiped the intro thats Jazza's music as well as the story line thanks for the review :)

Great take on a stale genre.

I thought it did your traditional waves vs. waves combat nicely but the ability to control units out on the field really set this one apart. It allowed for some fun strategies outside of just building the counter units to whatever the enemy has. Finding good ways to use upgrades along with unit control was one of the best parts.

Upgrade the spearton shields and have them hold back the enemy while your archers pick them off. Upgrade your swordsman's speed so they can dodge arrows and outmanuever giants and whittle them away.

Great stuff, I really enjoyed it.

Amazing And Addicted A+A+A+

I couldn't pull myself away from the computer even though I needed to go to school!!!
Very well done. It's very addicting.
My favorite thing is being able to control a unit as the so called "Hero"
But there was one problem
It was very hard to use both the archer and the Mage/wizard.
The computer did a far superios job of handeling the archers and also, for some reason, the computer had better range when it came to archers. I did have some trouble killing archers.
Mage tended to have a problem summoning minions...did anyone else have that problem?

But overall...Great Job!!!

Stick Wars!!

A Great Game, I Think A Sequel Would Be Good, With A Few More Upgrades On The Stick People And Gunmen, Tanks, Stuff Like That.

But Was A Great Defense Game, Top Notch.
