Reviews for "Galaxy Fighter"

Meh

This game could definetly use some work. First, the soud quality was horrible. Though the game itself was fun enough, some mechanics were off. I found that the yellow bots' lazers were literally unavoidable, so death was inevitable. So all in all, it wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either.

love the artwork but...

The giant headed mecha were cute, and loved the artworks. Though the gameplay could have been better. Those lil peons seem to be a better shot than our lil hero. Is his head been in the way running????

What upgrades?

Graphically the game is great.

The description said there were upgrades. There are five weapons, three of which you need to collect ammo to use, but there are no upgrades. I played the whole game waiting to find an upgrade screen. Instead I just won.

Also, there is not much real variety in enemies. They are pretty much just bigger or smaller. I just shot them, usually with the biggest gun I had ammo for. There wasn't much to dodging besides "don't stand still." Got hit a certain amount, but health pickups and three lives got me through.

Cool, but...

Alot of what everyone else said below is probably better than what I will post here.
My issue is the story but here goes.

Art:10 Friking Beautiful. In game its really good too.
Game play :2 Its been over done. It's no different than a bunch of other games of this type. If it wasn't on front page, I wouldn't have played it. I never will after this again. There are a tonne of games like this that look amazing but the game play is so basic, unoriginal and reminds me of the old Nintendo games. I actually rolled my eyes when I started playing the game cause it was another Nice looking, boring straight forward 3rd person shooter as made by others. As I played I found the Art was really good though.
Story: 3. Heres the thing..you have a straight forward story, beautiful art to match it, but nothing happens story wise afterwards. I only got to level 4, but its never mentioned again.
Music: 5. Appropriate music, but typical music.

Overall I think the graphics do not match the simplicity of the game play.
I don't understand why you would spend more time on game play, when you spent such an amazing time on the artwork.
It seems like you thought "Amazign artwork will make this game awesome"
Art work helps, but if your gonna have that level of proffesionality, than everything else should be amazing too.

Now I played to see for myself

It's not a bad game but there is a few things that bugs me. It's near impossible to dodge enemy bullets, for one; you can see them if you're not blind but even running and gunning as the game is supposed to be, you can't dodge them that well.

Next up is the laser sword. Why is it there? It does minimal damage and you'll just get shot using it so it's safer using the pistol. Honestly in my opinion the laser sword should be much much stronger because of the damage and risk you take just to get close to swing it.

Graphics are pretty good. I didn't play it that long so I didn't really see any upgrades...so maybe I'm missing stuff, who knows.
