It's Okay...
There has to be something done about the "battle" system. Perhaps adding a radar or map to give cues as to where the attacks are coming from and when. Maybe that's an upgrade or something down the line I didn't get to. Most of the time there was just too much going on in the screen all at once to really let the eye breath and take in what's actually happening.
I almost think that having a targeting system based off of the mouse cursor would serve this game better than a grid. I know the programming is different, and it's not something you can change in a day. But consider the way the main character moves around the screen and how he/she/it is supposed to line up with enemies to attack them all while dodging attacks on the same grid. Challenging? Sure, but it's more frustrating then fun.
I like the concept, I just think it could use a little touching up in the actual game design section.
I'm looking forward to the next one.
