epic soundtrack

Most of the score i've given you is for the soundtrack. It's freakin' epic man.

Gameplay itself is just alright. I noticed no real change in difficulty. It got boring pretty quickly. Enemies also seemed tricky to hit as well for some reason.

I would have really liked to see permanent weapon upgrades in this game. Oh well, it's still decent.

ChromeShark responds:

Thanks goes to Madboss for the music, I also think that it made the game. I agree that a few twists later into the game could've gone down well, but after making the 30+ enemies here I was pretty beat! Maybe next time. Thanks a lot for the review.

Good game

with featuring smooth fast paced gameplay and interesting visuals.

In my opinion though, it would be more interesting to link the ships power ups to the amount of chronium collected rather than just progress through the the game. This would offer a more rewarding and interesting gaming experience.

ChromeShark responds:

I had a system like that in my last top-down shooter Ghosts of Hell, but I decided to make things more simple this time around. Maybe that was a mistake? Thanks for your review and comments.

Good idea, decent execution

I really liked the arcade feel to the game, and enjoyed almost every element of it. The only problems I have are the fact that it gets kind of bland(your character doesn't really advance as much when he levels up, I would like to see some sort of improvement when I level up), and the fact that it does slow down, even on my fairly powerful 2.5 ghz processor 3.7 gb ram and 768 mb graphics card. Aside from that, it's a good game, and has decent presentation, and pretty nice effects. 7/10 well earned.

ChromeShark responds:

I haven't had any major problems with performance in tests, you could try turning off Blast FX from the pause-menu options if things are getting a bit too much. Thanks for your comments.

Owowowoowowow

Your game worked perfecly and it ran, but now my hand hurts cause i have a laptop and clicking and moving mouse isnt fun. Make an option to have continuous fire pleas.e I need some advil.. *walks away.

ChromeShark responds:

Good point, I might update the game with a continuous fire option. Thanks a lot for the 9.

Great

I liked this game in that all the explosions created artwork for the background, and that you could create chain reactions. However, I would have given it 10/10 if there was an upgrade system of some sort, and maybe more powerups.

ChromeShark responds:

I toyed about with an upgrade system but I wanted to keep the gameplay continuous. If there was interest in a sequel I may consider adding one next time. Thanks for your review.
