Geometry Snores

I appreciate that there's a game on this website with multiple modes and bonus games. But the terrible techno music, the difficulty, the sometimes unresponsive protagonist (dude didn't shoot in the right direction), and the blatant plagiarism of Geometry Wars doesn't make the modes and bonuses worth exploring.

Sure...

Sure it's pretty fun and all, but one thing pissed be off a bit.

When I was busy shooting enemies or whatever you call them here, one would spawn right under my and kill me, and I would instantly explode and lose a life.

Fair huh.

horrible game

really not interesting and music is just horrible

A step in the right direction.

The control scheme is nice, but fundamentally flawed. Instead of making the aim based around the center, make it change based on how the player moves after unlocking the angle. For an example of how to pull this off, see death vs monsters (http://www.gamereclaim.com/2009/03/d eath-vs-monstars/).

Aside from that, it's among the better minimalist arena shooters out there.

Geometry Wars without the dual thumbsticks

Already at the startscreen it reminded me of Geometry Wars and the gameplay isn't much different either so comparison is inevitable, and unfortunately this game falls short on every field.
However the idea of only using the mouse for gameplay is really slick and gives the game a very simplistic appeal. Too bad that not being able to control the shooting direction other that locking it to a direction is a real downfall and places this below the standard at least i've come to know.

Now, for a PC version i find this game really good. The whole concept of these games really need two inputs, one for movement and one for firing.

Overall, nice game with good effects and simple gameplay. Comparison with Geometry Wars is as said inevitable, but this is also a completely different platform with only the mouse as the most "mobile" tool available.
