Meh
I fail to see the point in wasting 10hp talking to people when they have nothing to say. It's not really open-ended, either. You have to do things in a certain order, and it's up to the player to unravel what that order is. Graphics & Music went well together in some cases, definitely creating the mood. But in other cases, the graphics could have used more polish (EG: the bedroom picture could have used a bit of filtering to make it at least look a little more painted/graphical in nature like the other backgrounds instead of a still photo pasted in.)
I'm not really into these types of games, and I think the whole vampire thing is getting played out again (seems the fad pops up every 10 years). But this was pretty decent. I'd say it's par for the course, neither bad but nothing really standing out as spectacular or ground-breaking.
