Reviews for "Shooter Guardian"

Really fun, but can be improved.

The game really entertained me, and is really original in concept. I haven't played a defense game Quite like this. I love how the AI actually gets out of the way instead of standing there like an idiot.

However, there is room for improvement. The artwork was pretty good, but the animation felt stale, which is a common problem with flash. Games like The Last Stand has worked around this problem, however, so it's possible. My biggest problem is the prices. Even the earliest items are expensive, and it's hard to get by only buy one or two objects, as the difficulty progresses quite swiftly.

It is overall a good game, I would love to see some kind of sequel, perhaps with some story development and whatnot.

wiryatoogreat responds:

thanks, well I really tried to balance the game, sorry if it's still not good enough for you =)

Shooter Gaurdian

the upgrades and stuff are good but the gameplays really boring

Controls were frustrating at time, but fun overall

There are already reviews about the questionable control of the crosshair which I agree with. I do, however, like the concept of protecting a comrade form harm. Old school concept, but still great for a game!

A few Bugs...

It shoots with out me shooting. Lol. If you know what I mean.

Decent

It kept me entertained for a while, but there are a few things bugging me:

- The aiming reticle went absolutely apeshit every now and then, it was nowhere near my mouse cursor... Dunno if my computer is slow, or what? Maybe make some buttons to adjust quality, or if you've done it via a button on the keyboard, put some text on the actual game screen saying "push (whatever) to adjust quality", for those who were too impatient for the tutorial (like me).

- It got boring and repetitive after a while... The upgrade system and different types of zombies are steps in the right direction, but I feel the game needs a sense of progression (Like moving from city to city, towards your goal, as in "The Last Stand", another popular zombie-killing game).

Other than that, brilliant. The AI worked well, the obstacles were realistic (gas barrels... Nice touch having them explode ONLY if you click them), and the graphics matched the gameplay.
