this was cool but there where some parts that you could have do this a little more better and the part shadow plays the guitar has no animation at all, but well i was good...PAINT IT BLACK!!!

That being said, I think you did a good job. I mean, this wasn't excellent. It has been said before, and yeah, there was a bit of a clash between the still shots and the actual animated parts, but I think you still did this really well.
I liked the part with Knuckle and Shadow fighting over the door, that was funny. And Tails face when the cars turned black..hehe..
I don't know, I thought it was really good. I don't know why people are jumping on your case. I think if you had wanted this to seem really professional, you would have done this a little differently, but it was for fun, so, I LOL'D, muwehehehe.. (I love seeing Knuckles angry, so the part with Shadow throwing the paint can was awesome, XD)..
So anyways, cheers on a good flash, and thanks for the laugh!!
P.S. What's with the crap about you use Sonic characters? Suddenly you can't use well-known cartoon characters in a flash on newgrounds?

Everything that I was going to say, has been said by TheTrueFreak already.
That being said, I still have to write a review;
It would have been much better and a better demonstration of your animation capabilities if you used your own characters, not Sonic characters.
You drew them really well (not exceptional, but still pretty good) and the part where Shadow's mouth moved were done really well.
But thats about it.
Having a still shot for 10 seconds while the music carries on, is not animation.
During the part "I see the girls walk by, dressed in their solemn clothes..." it is just a still shot, and you are essentially riding on the music. This part could be done much better, and have the girls actually walking, or doing something.
I lold a bit at the parts where Shadow and Knuckles were fighting over the color of the door, but thats about it.
Yes, this song is not meant to be funny, but if you have a funny part in an animation, you should have other funny parts, or the seriousness and funniness clash, and confuse the viewer, while diluting the message of your animation.
Like TheTrueFreak said, it "could be better" but for now it is just alright.

I had heard that song a lot of times before, but I did not even know what the lyrics were! The fact that it was talking about things being black did not even occur to me! Thank you for showing me that and expressing your creativity in this awesome submission. I think this is among the best animation I have seen in a Sonic flash that did not use sprites. All of the characters move the perfect way and everything syncs up very well. It is also great that you address relationships between Shadow and the other characters that are not usually addressed.
