It's typical, but in the best way possible, nice plot and I believe to be deserving of good marks.
Simple Character design, but effective with the scenery. I'd suggest coloured outlining, like the line of the eyes of the robot, to blend the character's features.
Do what, you like, I'd still say this is a nice piece of work =]
