Reviews for "Orbis Venatus"

If you would have been watching me play...

You'd probabaly be thinking something along the lines of 'What a fucking idiot! Come on, It's not that hard.' But man those last three levels killed me so much. More so 18 and 19 than 20, but it killed me alot too. Okay, now for the review.

Gameplay was alot like taking the classic game Snake and putting him in a maze. If your good at snake, you'll do alright in this game.

Graphics were simple, but not choppy. I like that.

Mechanics were similar to your game lil arthur, except with a keyboard and no ability to stop and rest or cheat. And if you can cheat, then I'm not 1337 enough to know how.

Music: If you took ten minutes to beat the game like I did (603 I assume is the amount of seconds, not 6 minutes 3 seconds), a single song got repetative and annoying. It was a good choice, you should have just added more songs than that one.

Overall: I spent ten minutes, died 200+ times, but I stuck around to finish; it was challenging. If it were easy I'd have gotten bored. So good job with making a challenging maze game. It would have been nice if you could have incorporated more levels though.

Well...

Could've been better. It's simply too hard, the controls make the game very hard, the ball should be slowed down or the controls made to not make the ball go forever...I already got stuck at level 5, which is frustrating,I'm not complaining, but you should improve that.

very fun

I thoguht the game was very fun, and the music was very relaxing which i think went great with the gameplay. I just wish the hitboxes were a little bit more exact and accurate.

Sweet game!

I made it to level 14 before I finally quit, and up until then I was having a lot of fun. I think your rotating cross in level 14 is a bit off though, as a lot of the time I would hit an invisible wall while trying to get passed the cross. Finally I figured out that there seems to be a pathway at the top that you slide through while passing through the cross. I got the key and was about to win but for some reason that invisible cross wall is right in front of the opening to the level's exit. ;(

Alright

quite a few bugs with the spinning wheels, and if you're quick enough you can "hop" out of a level by pressing the direction closest to the wall (even though you cant get back in). also, i didnt see a button to restart the level, just in case you do happen to go out. finally, i think the levels that weren't straight (you have to go in a diagonal line) were much harder than levels where one would just move straight.
otherwise, nice job, just fix up the bugs and it would be a pretty nice game.
