Reviews for "TripleBits"

Sweet

Yeah I liked it. I'll have to show it to my peeps at school. they'll think it's hilarious. Great work!

Wonderful

The artwork was great, the animation was great, the sound was great, and the voice work was also great. There is no story though, but since it's random I guess I can just disable those points then. It's a fun little flash to watch and I enjoyed it very much, however adding what music you used in the flash in the credits would've been nice though.

Excellent Movie / Bad NewGrounds Habit

I wanted to score this perfectly but I have to dock you a star for the sake of making an example out of you. So people will notice. (??wtf)

See, it's getting really sto0pid at NG always hearing the word "random". It's becoming hyperrealised -- the word is getting so much use that its definition is becoming blurred or discarded. I direct this statement at the creators and the fans equally. To "'bits"'s creators' credits, you can see they used 'random' enquoted above, shedding their own light on the perplexingly popular misuse.

There's nothing wrong with the comedy "random" connotates. But usually there's nothing random about it: it's actually carefully calculated, painstakingly protracted humor, and my favorite kind, too. In closing I'd like to making suggestion as to, how, what, you can say it other ways with no losing your ass(es): absurd(-ist); demented; implausible; surprising (there's a shocker!); slapstick; stuttering; unconventional; surreal(-ist); disjointed; nonlinear; and the classic, "weird". And many more.

With a little bit of effort, eventually reviewers and creators here at newgrounds will slowly come around to making sense when they talk about things. Not every third thing in the reality that surrounds them will be pegged "random" (as if -- entropy, duh!) and maybe they'll come to have a better understanding why absurd and demented humor is so funny, and why it shows up so much when you have an open broadcast or venue for cartoons without censorship.

I mean, come on, as if "Family Guy" is doing something new: people were watching NG before Stewie was an inkblot in his author's contract. But let's us really rise above this constant, fucking, nonsense overuse of the word "random" for every third fucking thing or every third fucking voice to speak on it.

Oh yeah, I forgot, this cartoon is great and the creators are fabulous, way to go, wotta riot BUT THEY SAID 'RANDOM' HRMGH }8^(E 3)

SimonG responds:

Why we used the word random, was because the whole sense and feeling of this movie is random. The parts each for themselves is not random, but all of them put together creates a feeling of random.

I totally agree, the word is terribly overused here at NG. The reason is probably that it is so popular. It's like stickmen, thei're overused too, but still, people make them.
I used the word, though I'm kinda tired of it.

Thanks for the rev.

yeahsssssss

norsk randomness is awsome

SimonG responds:

You bet!
