I think your are right about how on Newgrounds things are becoming conformed to the way a lot of immature and undeveloped minds think. There are great flashes and movies on here, but its blame is not all on one thing, but a combination of all (Authors, Writers, the Audiance and Newgrounds).
Having the ability to promote Art is power, and I would like Newgrounds to promote more Art not to the majority, but to the quality NG likes itself, hopefully others will enjoy it too.

It makes me wonder sometimes if pursuing anything but half-assed cartoons making mildly funny observations about video games laced with profanity is even worth it. Truly, they are what bring the masses of 13-year olds to this site, and thus increases traffic and competition in the internet world. But you have to ask yourself, with this sort of two-bit audience increasing in numbers, are they really interested in watching anything else?

This includes either women or video games. Things they already know they want. And that's all they want. They sign up, watch more, and come back and do it again later. Original content is often shuffled off to the bottom of the page, or never gets any attention to begin with. Now comes into play the whole 'they won't click on it unless there's a boob for the icon', etc etc. That's because they've been fashioned to think that way.
I'm not saying i have all the mysterious answers to the way people's minds work. But this much is true - if all people click on are breasts and video game icons, and you give them breasts and video game icons, you're not pushing the envelope.

I'm not pointing the finger at any one person here. I think it's part of the bigger picture - bigger than Newgrounds, too. But if people really care about the future of cartoons and animation, we wouldn't be seeing this kind of blatant favoritism.

Let me start by saying that Egoraptor's Awesome Series were in fact an original idea to begin with.
They were funny, simplistic, observational, and just plain entertaining. Don't sit there and try to say that he is a machine pumping out video game parodies for the masses. This guy actually has much more pressure than most animators out there because now he is held to a higher standard and held to a very specific brand of humor now. Chances are if he comes out with something other than something with "Awesome" in it, it won't do NEARLY as well as the awesome series.
And im not sure why you think that original content is pushed away in newgrounds. There have been plenty of original successful animations out there. There She Is, Time in a Bottle, Animator vs Animation, Bambee, Dreams, The Juice Joint, Dads Home, pretty much anything that Happy Harry comes out with, and most of Hans Van Harken's work, all of the nameless series.
So before you say that newgrounds is fill with members who just click on boobs and video games because they are trained to, think about why they do it. Obviously if this... flash was put on the front page there had to be good reason, and it's probably because of you rant in the Author Comments thing. I suppose the NG staff wants the New Grounds members to lean something.
Ok now for the rating, one star for taking the time for animating, but there wasn't much story here and graphics weren't very good. I suppose this is only an original idea because the thousands of other artists who thought of this idea didn't submit this because they knew that it was, and for a lack of better words, not entertaining at all.
I see that you sibmitted the flash not to entertain, but to prove a point. And I'll admit that I've seen too many uneducated reviews. I feel as though I must clarify a few things.
1.) In a review, you must give constructive criticism regarding:
Animation
Graphics
Voice Acting
Ending
Story
2.) You should not review a person on their message, only the quality of the flash itself.
Flashs like this is what gives newgrounds its reputation and uniqueness.
Some people review strictly on the message or content like boobs for example. Since a lot of people rate and score in this way, a lot of ratings and scores are unjustified. I should be able to make a 1 second flash that says, "Doing sins is that best thing ever." I guarantee that most people will give me a 0 because of the message, and not because my flash has no animation, poor graphics, and no kind of entertainment.
You my good sir however are giving other artists, not just Egoraptor, a bad name. I'm sure you don't mean to, and I'm not accusing either, but by doing this, you make it seem as though all the artists are mindlessly remaking other movies for their own benefit. Some do, but others only do this to give a different view on a subject. Pico Day was a great example of people putting their own original views onto a creation that occurred ten years ago by Tom.
