Reviews for "There Was This One Time"

Pretty good

well that was a good animation with a good voice acting only the art was lacking but good enough for this style of animation!

is there someone from team four star here?

sounded ike some people who did voices for dragon ball z:abrdged.....

apart from that though (not that its a BAD thing :P), this was awesome :D. I ove how the jokes were executed, just one after the other. great animation too, well done!!!

JENGA!!!

HAHAHA

Am I the only one who noticed that the Rhino sounded suspiciously like Nappa from DBZ?

Anyways, it was gold.. I can't understand cantflyman's point of view, as the animations were smooth, the graphics were meant to be drawn that way, and the background really wasn't needed, as we got the point it was in a basement WITHOUT the use of walls, the ceiling that the bat ran into was enough.

Funny as hell on the rhino's part. Apparently everybody thought that everybody in the video was supposed to be funny, but clearly only the Rhino was supposed to be.

Fantastic job!!

The voice acting was ultra legit. The animation was smooth and fluid, and the content was VERY family friendly. I thought it could have been funnier tho. The only laughs I got came from the rhino. He was my favorite. anyway, fantastic job. You've shown that it's possible to make a really good movie without gratuitous violence and swearing. (things I have in all of my current films lol)

Erm, I don't know

Really, for your first original flash, it was pretty poorly executed. I honestly didn't laugh once throughout the whole movie, and the animation was pretty sloppy. I'm not sure if you wanted to make it look that way or you had a short amount of time, but it seemed like there was no structure to the characters whatsoever. In regards to the humor, I could feel myself predicting some of the jokes from a mile away, and even the ending was easy to figure out before it happened. Plus, what's with the background? They can't just be sitting in the middle of a dark abyss. If they're in a basement, draw in basement walls to add more atmosphere.

Part of making a functional animation in my opinion is to have every aspect neatly put into place and cooperating together, and to me personally, it was all loosely tied with little to no sense of focus. I hate coming across as harsh about this subject, especially when I myself have yet to make animation myself, but for someone who wants to become a professional animator, it hopefully won't be bad to take in constructive criticism.
