Reviews for "Apocalypse Meow"

*MEOW*ing amazing

That was awesome! It kept me laughing all the way through!

Remaking a Classic! MYAW!

Now, see here.
When I read in my monthly description to the New Yorker that there was to be a remake of this classic as Apocalypse Meow, I cried foul, good sir! FOUL! fah!

A fool's errand, good sir! So many have already tried the cat remake of Apoc. Now. and all have failed. Another failed attempt, SURELY another failed attempt.
I have never been so wrong about something in my entire life. As what I watched here now, not only strengthens the original, but! shook me to my very CORE.

The thing that made this solid is that the new actors clearly know their parts and are firing on all cylinders during the entire film. These are actors that really understand the craft of paying homage to a classic and understanding its characters. When compared to the original, its almost as if there is no difference between the separate casts.

The Achievements of this film give it the potential to invigorate a new generation's eyes as an audience. While staying true to its roots, the director allows the actors just enough independence to ad-lib on their own, KNOWING that his cast understands the material it's been given.
The relationship between the director and his actors, as seen in this film, is a rare thing. It brings a tear to the eye of the viewer.

Hardly are there any times that a remake not only out-does the original in nearly EVERY conceivable area, but does it so in a way that makes old audiences remember its greatness, and lose themselves in the heart of darkness all over again.

This is cinema. This is film making.. at its zenith!

Cats for the win!

While I haven't seen "Apocalypse Now" (I would know a lot about it already) this was very fun to watch. Everything's cutter with kittens, even with kittens that have their faces superimposed over military people who are in war and stuff. I liked the way you worked with the eyes as you really manage to give a lot of dimension to your characters that way.
