Maybe not a masterpiece, but I think you've beautifully captured the mood and moral of your story. I might even say it's touching... But that would hurt my masculinity.
One little animation thing; I think the tank looks too much out of place. Its just not cartoony enough to fit in with the buildings and stickfigures.
