Aliens the Game
You weren't blowing smoke about the atmosphere, it captured that great Aliens/Silent Hill vibe where the enviroment seems more malevolent then the actual monsters.
The sound effects and monster blasting got a bit repetive after a while, so it needs a bit more differentiation and fleshing out.
Also the infinite Med Stations, while very much appreciated, broke things bad where I stopped fearing the monsters and charged headlong into creatures, then trekked all the way back to the beginning to heal. Really gets tedious and breaks up the horror if you can instantly heal yourself infinitely.
I have some thoughts on the swarms though:
*Maggot Swarm with room to run-relatively easy and fun.
*Maggot Swarm mixed with a few Raptors-a little more challenging, but still fun.
*Maggot Swarm in enclosed room-rather challenging and scary, but do-able and fun.
*Raptor Swarm with room to run-frightening at first, but survivable.
*Raptor Swarm in enclosed room-really difficult
*Raptor Swarm in enclosed room where they come from each direction-not so fun or survivable anymore.
*Raptor Swarm in enclosed room where they come from each direction and the door you came in locks behind you-not fun, just pisses off the player.
*Raptor Swarm in enclosed room where they come from each direction and the dorr you came in locks behind you and you have to start the level over again from the beginning-player gets pissed, logs off, not even an Aliens fan will play through the last three.
