Reviews for "Magical Cat Adventure"

Enjoyable

I like the graphics. I'm a huge fan of sprites, I wish they did them more often in these newer games they have coming out.

The acceleration bothers me a bit, but I suppose that's just something I need to get used to. The X/C buttons confuse me a bit too. Other than that, I really liked this. Faved! ^^

Well done.

Very well done, but the visual slowdown that other people have been talking about hindered me from playing very far.

It is not my computer, I'm currently running a 2GHZ Core Duo with 2gb Ram and Nvidia 8800GS.

I've noticed that the game only slows down in certain parts of the level. It would run fine in some parts, but if I went back a little ways to where it was slow it would slow right back down again. Maybe there are too many objects being rendered in that area of the level? That or maybe you're having collision overlaps or any number of other things. Just wanted to hopefully provide some technical insight into what your problem may be.

Otherwise, well made game.

Hey ButteredPotato,

Thank you for your constructive feedback. Hopefully we will look at this issue and re-issue a submission. Good to hear you like the game :)

Not Bad

I liked it although the controls did seem a bit tight and there was also one instance where I had 2 bars of life and I got a heart and got to 3 and than the next instant I got hit by and enemy and still had 3 bars just thought I'd let you know.

Neat

this game is quite the homage to the older 16-32 bit consoles like the snes and genisis (mega drive) but the game is slow, and the sonic like aceleration just doesn't feel right in this game, and can you change the controls? the x/c keys confuse me sometimes

EasyRetro responds:

Hi giro, thanks for you review ?
What would you feel better as controls ? We can remap them..
What about the "slowness of the game", what is your computer speed (processor/CPU, memory ?)
Please PM us your thoughts, we are always interested in user feedback and might post an updated version with some optimizations and updated controls.
Feel free to suggest !

pretty fun

reminds of old school sonic in a way, i liked it
