Reviews for "UmiChan: Maiko v2"

Meh...

It's not the greatest game, but it's a real time-killer. It's a lotta fun, but nothing you can jerk off to, y'know? I gave it a 6 because it's good, and entertaining but didn't satisfy my "needs" if you know what I mean... lol

Vortex00 responds:

i see. however you need to understand that this is actually a game.

meh...

Good graphics and somewhat good sound fx...music is catchy tho!...but the gameplay itself isnt gameplay really...infact its to easy and somewhat lame...if you took tips from playshapes... (hint @ MARrocks review, and the authors strange and snobby review...no offence) it would have tons better gameplay. there engine and your artistics could make a great flash game but since you and i quote "lol'ed" at that, i see your not really the flash artist i enjoy...this is of corse my opinion and i do not speak for everyone.
but opinions are opinions...but dont take tips from zone sama...there stuff sucks

With slightly mild love:
Violet

Vortex00 responds:

Voilet, thanks for the feedback, I lol'ed because obviously this is not the greatest game ever imo. Of course it's not one of the 'great ones'. Nor was it designed to be. But each person will compare it to different things, and enjoy it differently.

On a serious note, I'm just not seeing what I need to be learning to add to this game? or getting tips about. this isn't a platform game? It's gameplay is a modified version of a reflex minigame I made a while back. It's not a large project, just a small one.

I can tween well enough, and I can program platform games quite well actually.
One would not be able to tell from my Newgrounds submissions alone though. You have to take a peek into the video section of my forums to see. You should check out what I'm working on. Look at my larger projects I'm working on. After you do, I'd seriously like to see if you can hold the same argument you are making here.

Also you can thank reviewers for it being too easy, heh... seriously.
send me a PM or post in the forums when/if you do check that stuff out.

this also applies to anyone else reading this.
( because I know you are >_>; )

nice

i guess its okay but can any one tell me were to go t make art? pless id make asmoe games ........

Vortex00 responds:

huh?

There is a lot of potential here, but two things must be fixed IMO. 1.) the background adds almost NO contrast to the characters, and hence, makes them almost invisible. 2.) the positions are so similar that it offers no variety ( basically making her request to change positions an annoying distraction device).

Vortex00 responds:

I have kind a light colored art style I don't plan to change it too much. I will see what works for me.

also dude. her requesting to change positions, and you following is the primary point of the game.. how can it be distracting? That is like saying shooting stuff is distracting in FPS games.

it was good

Vortex00 responds:

Thanks
