Reviews for "Zone of the Awesome"

One major gripe...

and its not particularly your fault, but get yourself a better mic, i kept hearing static through out the whole thing and it kinda knocked it down a notch for me.

For being your second movie, its definitely not bad in the animation department, and while a lil rough and choppy, it wasn't terrible.

Another thing, take more time with the story, or find someone to write for you. It was amusing, but it wasn't really THAT funny. Gags dont always work on sheer randomness alone, and that's something a lot of people around here don't seem to even comprehend.

I look forward to seeing an original production from you, and dont forget the story! Theres tons of people here who could probably give you a good ideas, that just dont have the ability to animate... *cough* ahem *cough* XD

Galneda responds:

Yep...that seems to be everybody's major beef with it. I recorded it off my headphones, so in a way, it kind-of is my fault. lol

You're right, I do need to work on the writing...definitely a key factor in ANY project that's worth a shit.

Well I'm glad you're all set to see something original by me, because that's going to be my next project. The goal is before summer, so let's see what happens!

Thanks for the review!

good AWESOME style

I thought the art and style of the animation kept true to the Awesome series.... However the humor did not. I couldn't seem to squeeze out even so much as a chuckle although I wanted to seeing how close the style was to the usual Awesome series.

If you decide to do another or any other comedy flash I'd probably work on the script a bit more. Now that I think about it the humor may be off to me because I''ve never played ZoE.. I'm sure those who have probably queezed off a chuckle or two. GJ all in all though

Galneda responds:

Yeah, that was an awful mistake choosing Zone of the Enders as my first video game parody, let alone my second flash ever because it's such an obscure title that not a whole lot of people have played. The jokes go over most people's heads if they haven't played it, but with exceptions for a few scenes that you don't have to understand the original to laugh at.

All-in-all, though, I've learned from this mistakes, and in the future I'm broadening my audience so ANYONE can enjoy my work...no inside jokes on my next one.

And yeah, the script was a little half-assed, recorded as I went. I'm glad you appreciated the visuals, and thanks for the review!

Meh...

I give you some credit, but you just can't beat Egoraptor or HotDigedy when it comes to this.

I totally remember this game, though. Fun but short. I could NEVER find the fucking sequel in store though!!!

Galneda responds:

Don't forget Chris O'Neill, guy who did Grand Theft Awesome!

And holy shit really? The sequel is much, much much better...it's a little longer and more challenging in gameplay, but it's still short to other games by comparison.

Thanks for the review! Don't worry, there won't be any more Awesome flashes by me. :)

Cuuuuutsceeeeene! Tiiiiilde!~

Very nice piece of work. You managed to a squeeze in a lot of stuff in just a few minutes. More importantly, you made one hell of a gag about Kojima, the game's shortness, and of course, the cuuuuutsceeeeenes!

More stuff like that, and you'll go far.

The Stongbad voice was very appropriate.

You did good, man. Kudos.

Galneda responds:

Thanks very much! I hope you'll love my future projects, because they're going to be a little if not drastically different from this!

........

im so sick of th egoraptor knock offs and besides that it just wasnt that funny

Galneda responds:

I'm sorry I didn't do a sprite flash more to your liking, but in the future when you write your reviews...sit back and think:

-How was it not that funny?
-What could I do to improve?

Otherwise you're just wasting my time with this review. Thanks zero-boy!
