Reviews for "Scriball"

somewhat difficult

and i didnt have the patience, but thats me, it was still good, quite original. 9/10 4/5

I think the best thing you could do right now is:

make a few more elements, like moving stuff, and walls/gates as Jollesax said, among many other things, which would really improve the gameplay. Then, you release this in a new version, make a few levels with them, just to demonstrate how they work, and then let people send you levels, to make a level pack (just like "meat boy", if you've played it), and when people have sent in lots of levels to you, choose the best (not the prettiest, but the most fun-to-play), and you'll have a whole other game. (In hopefully a better way)

As I see it, this is what you've made:
You've come up with a great idea, and gone through with it, however, this wasn't one of your greatest games, the levels (I only got to "he looks a bit like this" or something like that, but I realized there wouldn't be much change to the game, even if I played it through (unless I wasted my whole evening on trying to get the extra levels) - and the big problem you had was that the levels weren't very much fun. "Be happy" was just a waste of time, you need to offer some challenge if people are to play, and even though I admit this had a really good bit of challenge in some levels, the difficulty curve was way out of hand... (the levels weren't made in difficulty order, but rather in "theme-oriented order, as you were more concerned about how the level looked, than how it was to play (if you ask me))
Anyway, very original, and I hope to see that level pack anytime soon! :D

Clever

very innovative, nice gameplay, just made frustrating by the occasional clipping issue, and it needs some kind of quicksave, because getting to the last blue bit on egg and then having to start over again is annoying to say the least

Woah

The game was fun. A simple design idea and sometimes very challenging maps. I would definately say keep up the work!
Somethings that need to be worked on:
1) Spacing of the 'mines.' Some cases you could just skip entire sections of the level if not the entirety of the level if the mines were at the right angle.
2) Catching the ball. I'd draw a sharp loop, the ball would fall, hit it and keep on going.

I am just going to say this:
Keep making challenging ideas and screw the people who cry because it's too hard. The boss made me laugh and made me think for just a bit. Some of the levels had me completely stumped, "HOW THE FUCK?" comes to mind. Keep doing that. If they were all easy I wouldn't have decided it was worth it to finish the game.
Good job.

RAAAAAAAAGE

GOD DAMN I HATED THE YO MOMMA'S COLON LEVEL *esplodes*

That was a really great and fun game with nice little pointers for life. Creative and well designed, though I found that on the boss level my ball went through the red balls multiple times, and through my line way too often.

Once again that damn yo mama's level set me back like 20 minutes out of an hour. Way too precise with no jumping room.
