What the Heck?
Terrible AI. You could have ducked almost the entire first level and not die. Kind of stupid that enemies can shoot behind a tank and not get damaged. Especially the tank that rolls bowling balls at you. So you can't stand up, jump over, or duck the bullets. That leaves you with a lot of options.
1 hit kill? What game allows you to die so easily. And why do enemies spawn out of nowhere?
Controls so Confusing!
My criticism is that most window based shooters are based on [z] key to fire [x] to jump and c w/e and space to jump. Which took great difficuilty upon me because [a] is to shoot [s] to jump and [d] to chuck frags. I think the keys for the game need to be re-arranged so the user can easily relate to. Out of all a great game and series.
Lackluster
I can appreciate the level of detail for sprite animation but sound is a HUGE part of the metal slug series! The music is repetitive and the sound effects lack oomph. I couldnt really keep playing this game past the helicopter. I wanted to hear FIRE when I shot a flame thrower. And I wanted to hear the agonizing screams instead of the same 5 sound effects through the length of the game.

hard but fun
I know that I have only just been playing for about 1.5 minuetes but it is quite hard because you die after 1 hit and theen emys can come from behind you. Nevertheless it is quite fun and extremely addictive
