Reviews for "Guy & Buddy"

unique

i hate this game, the concept is just to damn intreaging to not play, but you get in the game and its harder then hell. i found myself cursing at my computer after my 15th attempt at level 3. multitasking would be a bonus skill to have for this game. the concept for this game is amazing. the only issues i have with it are
1: the controlles are to loose. it would be much easier/funner if the ghostfallowed ware you went
2: alot of the little "holes" to get past the barriers are on the very edge of the screen making it searously difficult to get past without loosing control, then suddenly getting it back and running into the damn thing. love this game, but im prolly gonna put a fist threw my monoter before the nights over. GOOD JOB!

Fun, but the ending was unsatisfying

I loved the new concept of one player controling the mouse and the other used the keyboard. Although the controls were a little off sometimes, they didn't make it too much harder. My complaint is the ending; the first half of the game I played for fun, the other half was in order to see an awesome ending. You had an introduction and a body, but no conclusion. Even if it's small, it adds to the story.

Ugh.

There's such a thing as "Too hard," you know.

Extra credit for the unique gameplay, but I can't help but wonder "Did the creator even beat this?" The difficulty curve is extreme to the point of madness, demanding the most exact and precise timing, coordination, and accuracy on parts of the game that come and go in the space of a few seconds. Dividing attention alone would have been enough to make it tricky, but this game puts you on into a panic, desperately trying to control both characters at once as each is on the verge of dying at every momnt.

For a sequel, might I recommend something slower paced, with more effort on scenic environments than chaotic survival? Something more casual? You could do an awful lot with these mechanics if you supplemented it with the right visuals.

I think this should be rated more highly

I think many people just got frustrated with the difficulty and scored lower

The difficulty is NOT frustrating imo. There are no really cheap deaths, it all requires good coordination and memorization to be successful. When you die, you know that it is your fault, so that's good. The ONLY problem is the 'smashing'. That is the only source of frustration for me in this game, because it's so unforgiving...

All in all, I love the style and the difficulty is original and actually refreshing and addicting...good work

incredible game

BRAVO ;)
