Addicting

This game was great and Addicting until I died, then I got pissed off.
Those bloody walker things that look like they are from Star Wars are impossible to kill, they take heaps of hits (Yes I used upgrades lol)

Solid game play

Game was fun for a while, until i got all the upgrades.

- Sometimes, the soilders cant be hit. it only happened once, but i took alot of damage. the soilders got close, my cannon blast did nothing, my machine guns did nothing. but eventually got rid of them some how.
- It will be better if you can scroll the battle field. I mean, you got the muzzle velocity to shoot faaar off the screen, meight as well make that a more useful feature.
- turret upgrade does not stop you from buying the same turret for the same slot more than once, and it does nothing other than have your money wasted.
- Upgrade cost should start low, but gradually increase instead of having fixed, but really high cost (this way, people dont get to upgrade for a while in the begining)
- some people said the fights are hard in the begining, i kinda disagree. it would seem true, but if you upgrade in the right way, it's not a problem at all. although later on, it's really easy

having all those said, I hope you can continue on your work and aim for a front page next time!

I've fixed the soldiers not being hit. It's a lot better now. I cold make a scrolling field, that would be cooler. I've made it so that you can't buy the same turret again and again. Upgrade costs might change in the next update... Thanks for the review.

too easy and i couldnt add turrets but it was still too easy.

A nice bit of stress reduction!

I quite enjoyed playing this. Enough to warrant playing until I had every upgrade maxed out and three laser turrets. Sadly at that point the game became a lot less fun, the fun replaced with clicking a few times every minute or so.
Loads of potential here, and it's certainly a great time-killer. I'm a sucker for defence games, and I certainly didn't waste my time here.

One thing bothered me though. If you're going to go with the shadowed enemies, which is a style I like, then you may as well do that for everything. The turret was well drawn, but aside from the fact the building and turrets looked a little sloppy, it bugged me a little that they were lit up, and the enemies weren't.

Nothing to detract from the gameplay, just something I noticed.

Solid effort, held me longer than lots of games I've played on Newgrounds. Good job.

Half the points

I gave you half the points for being half way there. You have a good premise that could lead to a pretty good game, but there are some major balance issues which I'll point out in ordered list :P

1. Upgrades - the cost of upgrades needs to increase as the level of the upgrade increases.

2. Enemy difficulty - The enemies were fairly difficult early in the game, but after a couple of upgrades, they never got near me. The enemies need to improve in hitpoints as the game goes on. Also, some more interesting enemies would make for a better gaming experience.

3. Towers - The laser towers are far too strong, especially for their price. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the detection is off.

This should be enough to keep you busy. Balance is the MOST important factor in defense games. Keep up the good work.

thanks. I'll fix the upgrade cost in the next version. The enemies do need to get more difficult and I'm thinking about making them harder in the next update. I've fixed the detection in the towers, but they are a little overpowering... I'll try and work on that.
