Reviews for "ACML III: Bliss"

Ummm

Amazing art style (except for the epiletic-inducing part near the end). A little too emo for my tastes, but good animation. My only question was what was the gender of the main person? It looks like a guy sometimes, and a girl other times. Kinda confusing. Other than that, great job!

Plenty of points for effects

Not that I didn't like it, it was a good song and the animation was visually interesting but it was missing a certain... I dunno, unity for me. I couldn't really get a story from it, it was just a sort of collab of incredibly edgy and visually stimulating images. While it may not have really been my thing, I'm still going to give it an 8 because of the level of skill and talent that went into this, it really was beautiful. I think this would be a great animation to show anyone who asks "what can you do with flash?"

It pains me to do this, but...

I really don't want to sour the 10's being thrown about, but there are some areas that need to be addressed. First of all there was no need for nudity, sure sometimes there is something surreal about showing something and having nothing sexual about it. The nudity in this collab gave it a sense of childish pollution. While the story line was clear in some areas, it was a bit vaque in others. There were also a few other areas whose frames were either fewer or a bit laggy. All in all, at least I didn't try to blam it. I will be keeping an eye on all of you and see what becomes of you, sincerely John Collins. Ps: I know how love can hurt, I almost gave it up because of the knives thrust into my heart. Ps: Ps: I suggest making a music collab of the song Sing for Absolution by Muse next.

Tarienn responds:

Theo Art - Honestly, look AT THE BLOODY MATURE RATING, would save you loads of time. Anyway, when I look beyond the fact you only focused on the Nudity, and not even the collab as a whole, I see someone who doesn't know shit about he's saying. THEN, coming out of nowehere and telling us what to do next? Like what you have to offer is the true path of righteousness? please man, I wanted to keep things mature.

Pheorach - I'm sorry that you didn't like the nudity in this project, and you seemed for a breif moment in your review to understand the underlying message of the figures being unclothed, but went on again with your immature assumption that we drew our character unclothed in some sort of attempt to seem 'childish'. Sending a bit of a mixed message. Ps. How dare you suggest something else for us to do, do it yourself. We don't animate request flashes.

I dunno...

The video is pretty damn good. Great animation, a good song choice, and I can really tell that you all put your hearts into it. Congrats, you should be proud. The only thing that upsets me is that, as great as you guys are as animators, you come off as overly-sensitive to criticism and immature. No matter how great your flash is, there are always going to be at least a couple people who don't like it. If you can't handle people voicing their opinions or their issues with it without taking it personally, don't submit, simple as that. Then there was the whole business where several of you wrote reviews for The iPhone Shuffle bitching about how you deserved a better score than them and the like. I realize that you all worked incredibly hard on this, but why do you care so much about what others think? If you like it, and you had fun making it, why can't you just be satisfied with that? Anyway, that's just my opinion, I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors

it was good

i can see there was a ton of effort and teamwork involved in this production and thats perfectly respectable. I didn't like the lyrics to the song however, and that really killed it for me. The flash was good though, i just wish the lyrics and possibly the singer, were better.
