good for a few minutes of fun. but it would be nice to change effects with the left mouse button or a/s keys.

I'm assuming the effects are for art only, since it would annoy anybody to death if he/she actually tried to use one of these as a cursor. The one thing I think you should change is the way you change effect. It would be a lot easier to change with the left mouse button, since you already has the hand on the mouse.
