Unique Concept, Lacking Result
This game is incredibly easy. First try, level 9, harder of the two difficulties - all I did was build a single machine gun sentry and upgraded it (Damage > Speed > Range). No challenge whatsoever. Just keep building these on down the line (and upgrade to cash sentry pretty much whenever you feel like it) and congratulations, you've won - if you have the patience to endure the horrendously long waves and waits inbetween waves.
And not only was it incredibly easy, but it actually /bugged out/ too. After letting it run in the background for almost an hour (why would I put effort and intention into such an easy TD?) I came back to find that one of the demon runners was *outside* the maze. OUTSIDE the maze. How does this happen? It ruined the game too - nothing could shoot it.
The only thing this has going for it is its uniqueness - and I mean face it, all the shooter part of it means is that you actually have to pay attention and put in effort (in the form of button mashing, nonetheless) - and mediocre graphics. All in all, it's not worth my time to play again in it's current form.
Suggestions, just cause I have to:
- Hard mode should be hard, not just upgrade a single turret as much as possible. Provide bonuses that sentries or floors can give each other so it is more worthwhile to have a variety.
- Fix bug (enemy appearing outside of the maze - wtf?).
Make it possible to speed up the game. Each. Wave. Takes. Forever. :\
