Reviews for "dragBall"

alright game.

this game is alright, but the lives make it impossible, i have a laptop, and therefore a track pad, which makes things super difficult and i need to reset a lot... which takes away lives for some reason... 5/10 I like the physics, and concept is good, I'd just like to see a lifeless version.

Nice job man!

A couple glitches and bug to figure out.
One glitch that was excruciatingly annoying, was the friction and momentum (I don't do physics, so I'm not sure which one).
In just the third level, I bounced the ball but it just missed the orange ball. Then, I had to wait around for 10 minutes for it to stop, and it didn't. It just kept moving. really. fucking. slowly.
Eventually after waiting around for 5 more minutes, I just had to restart the whole game, which was a bit disappointing. I mean, maybe at least a menu button.
I thought that on my second try, it would work.

But after I restarted it, I couldn't get past the third level, and I even got the ball to the orange ball! I don't know. It may just be my computer, but no matter what I did, even if I won, it wouldn't let me past level three :(

However, pretty simple yet stylish graphics, and good layout.

You can reset a level by pressing the space key, as it says in both the tutorial and the game description, you don't have to wait for it to stop because it simply doesn't. Another thing, when you bounce against the walls too many times (the maximum number of bounces is displayed in the upper-right) you have to reset the level. This is because people would otherwise just throw the ball really fast and it would hit all the checkpoints regardless of their aiming. I thought this was going to be confusing...

You're no toot oriole, either.

Having a lives limit makes it go from fun puzzle game to frustrating chore, which is why I stopped playing when I got to the precision-aiming puzzles in Set 3. Having to make these precision aims with the mouse was frustrating, I'd almost prefer to manually set the speed and direction with sliders because the controls make it more reflex than puzzle. Finally, the game lost points in my ranking because you seem to have forgotten something important:

YOU ARE NOT GLaDOS.

Interrupting me after every puzzle to tell me that something happened was rather annoying, especially as I already knew what I did wrong because I read the tutorial before starting. Yes, there's a tutorial, I got it. I read it all before even clicking on the start button, and then you tried to show it to me again. I'm at least glad you let me skip it the second time. But the combination tutorial before playing + tutorial again before REALLY playing + in-game tutorial that fails to be the guiding role of even a twisted mastermind A.I. = no incentive to keep playing the difficult puzzles with hairpin trigger timing.

All that being said, the puzzles themselves were great. You got points back for great level design.

yah it was fun untill ...

well it was all good and ready to give u 8 untill i got to set 2 level 5 and u could not pop the blue ball i would have beatin that level if it was not for the glich

Xeptic responds:

Are you sure that wasn't caused because you ran out of bounces? Did you try resetting the level by pressing the space key? I haven't come across anyone with the same glitch yet.

Level set 2 first level is broken

The level starts it already says I've failed before I've clicked the ball. the coding for the walls is interfering.
