Reviews for "The Unfinished Collab"

Thanks for the review.

Good work

I really like the canvas you used. It fits quite well with the theme. The menu is like a "to do list", but with many points on it that aren't even filled out.

Some of the unfinished work was awesome, some of it was... well... not really good.
I liked the guy sitting in front of the TV, switching through channels and the music video for Weezer a lot.
But my favorite part is the last one by zooominsh. He had a very good idea for a flash there. Too bad it's unfinished.

I didn't like the lazer-part and the "vomiting man". Those two didn't offer anything funny to me.

Thanks for the review. It's a rare collab review that reviews separate parts, so I appreciate this review..

Quality work

I think what this piece shows is that not everyone's taste can be accounted for in certain submissions to this, along with the problems faced by promising artists who provide parts for collabs, which never get finished. I think that the way that you've layed it out is nice, but I would suggest that you take a little more time on the layout - you could provide a title for the piece, with the author, but then have a 'synopsis' and play button, so people who want to know the information can see it there and then, rather than having it there anyway.

Also, I would have loved a scene select menu, as this would allow me to revisit excellent pieces, like the last one - it was so simply done that it deserved a second watch, but I wasn't really enamoured with watching the whole thing a second time.

Good work, if any of you get that many pieces, you could submit your own collab works as a demo submission, so that you can showcase your work and hopefully get more from it.

Thanks for the review.

I was originally planning to do a Scene Select, but in the end, there was already problems with the space, so I thought that that would probably completely ruin it...

nice

i adored the pork and the bean stuff and how u put ur pic and then went to the authors place.but i didn't like the others

Thanks for the review. Glad you liked fluffkomix's part, he's now gone on to much better things. Check him out! :)

Something about this..

Something about this just seemed.. unfinished. I can't put my finger on it. ;)

Animation/Graphics - For the most part I think a lot of the contributers of this collab need to work on their drawing and/or animating skills just a little bit. Most were rough and/or not animated very smoothly or drawn very smoothly. That's not speaking for all of them though. I did enjoy some of them and though some of them were very well animated and drawn. The best in my opinion is probably the Blackman one. =P

Story/Content - A good idea for a collab. If I would have known about it then I could have probably added something too. =P I don't have time for collabs really though. Again, some were boring, but for the most part there were a lot of interesting/funny/even racist parts in their. =) I like the menu where you had the numbers keep going without anything there. Very smart.

Audio - I understand that this is suppose to be unfinished and everything, but I think the ones that didn't include sounds on their pieces should have included something because theirs were just a bit more boring than the others. I also think there should have been some sort of background music on the menu and in between scenes.

Overall - A good idea and a good presentation. Only a couple of things here and there that I didn't really like about it, but generally it was a good collab.

Thanks for the review!

In response to the lack of audio in the menu, I did try to put it in, but it completely messed up...
