Your's has the problem of having to place it exactly on the right spot...
I suggest having a test of the _x and _y values and allowing it to snap to the spot where you want the eyes, pants, shirt or teeth.
For example, if someone were to let go of the mouse, on an onRelease function or something like that, you could have a test asking if the _xmouse value was after like, 50, and before, 100, and the _ymouse the same, it would create a sort of box area that you could allow to snap the object into.
Anyway, just that whole part of some dressups really shits me, and I think that doing it that way would make the whole stupid dressing up of spongebob a lot less irritating.
