Reviews for "Jelly Towers"

Laggy

The game kept lagging where everything would freeze for a moment then start up again. I set quality to low and that didn't change a thing. My computer is a Macbook, 1.86 GHz Core Duo processor, 2 GB RAM. Not the fastest computer around but I have no trouble playing Fantastic Contraption (another physics game that has a lot more objects on the screen than this does). It's too bad because I usually like physics games.

Meh

It was pretty cool cept for that stupid yellow ball wouldnt stop moving after 5 minutes

Absolutely not a puzzle game

This game is definately a game of skill. There's never a level where you have to think to get past it. I mean, instead of thinking "how am I supposed to get there?", its more like "how long is it gonna take me to get there?"

And still, for a skill game, it was prety weak in gameplay, physics, and etc. The fog sucked, the engine was off, and the collisions were unreal. The tutorials in fact were harder than the levels themselves. Try beta testing next time.

Could use a bit of tweaking

This is a good concept for a game, and it some really good art behind it, but I'm afraid your physics need a little work. For one, the jelly slides around much too easily; gelatin has a tendency to stick, which is why it can jiggle so much. I gave up on level 3 because every attempt to stack was thwarted by the jelly slipping from underneath. Also, it appeared I had the jelly close enough to the jydra's mouth on level 2, but I ended up having to put another jelly underneath to actually make it reach. But really, your focus should be on a "stickier" physics engine, and one in which the pieces move more slowly and precisely.

And to those who are having trouble with the fifth tutorial, simply make a stack outside the sacred fog and slowly drag the bottom piece toward the jydra.

How did you all fail so terribly? I got to level 17 before I finally realized that I had burned an hour and got bored. It's really not that hard, you just have to sit down and think about what to do instead of getting impatient.
