Reviews for "Sonic Reversal: Ep. III"

Ok, look...

This is awesome, i dont care what anyone says. This may not be as top-notch as some other artists, but i love your style. Why are people whining about it being to chaotic? What are you guys 40? And your story is really good, again i dont know what people are talkin about. I dont see why youre getting so much hate. This is great. Maybe not as flashy as some others but I think this series is awesome.

Tight

Plotline: Getting better and better, 9/10, but I do wish Sonic would just shut up about Amy already. It's been a year already, and sometimes the way the characters act makes it seem as if it's only been a few days.
Animation: 10/10 Incredibly smooth. Astoundingly smooth. Even the backgrounds were animated.
Sounds: 6/10 Sound effects were slightly overused, and some of the background music just didn't seem to fit. You made me happy by using 'His World', though. Gotta love that song.

Specifics:
*The battles could be less monotonous. The characters use the same sets of moves over and over again, so it can get a bit boring.
*The times you used drawings (or maybe they were pixellated, I couldn't tell) really fit in with the animation. Good job with that, I hope to see more of it in the next installment.
*I was hoping that Sonic was actually working with Shadow the whole time, but oh well. Metal Sonic's still cool, too.

All in all
9/10
5/5

Brilliant

When I had watched Ep. 2, I like the fight scenes, but I found myself thinking there was very little variance of pace. I'm glad to find that you have included slow-mo's and freezes into the fight scenes, which I thought were impressive.
I must agree that the fight scenes can be a bit chaotic. The easiest scene for me to follow was Knuckles vs two of the bad guys, because you only really have to focus on one character. Now, I'm not saying you should remove the melee-style fighting, but in order to improve the coherence of the scene, I would suggest using greater pace variance (i.e. more slow-mo's/freezes/frame focus) so that the viewer may respond to more of the action sequences, and allow you to direct the viewer to focus on what you want them to see.
Past experiences with sprite flashes have left a bad taste in my mouth, but the Sonic Reversal series is one of the best sprite flashes I've seen on NG. The movement is fluid. While the story is not the focus in this particular episode (the emphasis is definitely on the action), it is overall exciting and compelling to follow. You have done a brilliant job and I look forward to the next episode.

I didn't like it.

You had some good sprite 'animation', but the rest I thought was shit. The story, the drawings, the effects, everything. You have way too many things hapenning at once. And it's just another sprite fight. Nothing more. We've all seen it done a million times. Try something more original next time, if you will.

WinterStorm responds:

GOD DAMN IT! READ MY RESPONSE TO OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE YOU SAY SHIT ABOUT THE FIGHT SCENE! I CLEARLY STATED I WOULD CHANGE IT!!! And clearly, you didn't catch the plot twist, otherwise, you wouldn't have said such a thing about it. But who knows? Maybe you did catch it, and just felt like being a dick?

Great, but not perfect...

I agree with BlackDevilX there were too many fights going on but liked the effect on which the camera was moving so we knew who was fighting who but that fight was way too long it covered up 3/4 of the flash but...
Overall: 8/10 Great Flash Movie
Grade: B+
