Reviews for "Germ Cure"

Good game, but a few problems I had...

I first built my size to max. After that the game is a complete breeze up to the last level. If you sit on top of the virus it is actually impossible for the "enemies" to reach the center. You can sit there for a minute or two and build up enough cash to buy everything in the game. Health respawning shortly after every use makes it a little too easy later on. The last level or two the game begins being challenging again, but if you set a mine on top of the virus you get a second or two of an "unreachable" virus in order to sweep out and grab white blood cells and health. All this is really gameplay issues that I personally don't agree with but don't truly detract from the game. The only REAL issue the game has that I saw is that enemies would do damaged BEFORE disappearing into the virus and this caused some to be able to do double damage if knocked out of the way at an unfortunate time. Of course using the strategy listed above, the point becomes moot. For a sequal I would personally suggest a larger "entrance" for the virus or a smaller range for your cell, a longer respawn time on health, MOWR upgrades, and possibly a more fitting ending, as destroying all viruses would cause the extinction of virtually all life on earth. I was kind of disappointed that I didn't see that pop up after you receive your certificate of awesomeness. Or atleast some humorous result of your actions. That is just personal taste once again though. Really good game for a solo project.

Was very nice.

Your hard work truly shown through this game. The graphics were beautifully done, and the spectrum of different viruses and enemies helped keep the interest of the player. Downside though, is you have very little upgrades, and they don't seem to be that much of a boost from previous levels. You can see a change from 0 to max, but in between you don't. Also, the controls were kinda iffy, in my opinion. I'm not much for the whole "chase the cursor" kinda games, and that's what this was. I think that just made it a bit of a pain in the ass, I prefer either WASD or the arrow keys.

Add some new upgrades, and perhaps touch up on the controls, and you got yourself a great game, cause everything else was very beautiful.

Yay I cured the world of germs...

I think this was pretty well designed although a few things led me to become bored.

In level 4 I could just sit on top of the virus and "bump" away all the little germs coming towards it. I left and ate dinner came back and I had about 10,000 points to spend.

I think if you slowed down the germs, increased their numbers, fixed the bumping into the main virus, changed the landmine to blow up on contact instead of immediately, and maybe changed the playable blood cell to a nanobot with a tiny laser gun, upgradeable by power-ups, you'd get a slightly better game.(Also maybe a slight increase in the playing field size, it felt a little cramped.)

Looking forward to a possible fix, or new version.

Minor design flaw, otherwise fun ^_^

It was a fun game, but there was a little flaw. With level 2 Strength, I let my cell sit in the middle of the virus, and any germs that came near bumped against me until they died. I left it there, made a snack, and came back with enough money to buy all the upgrades =/

Yes, I know I figured people were going to money farm and the reason I didn't fix it was because at some point you have to leave the Virus to get the white blood cells and when you do that's when your going to take some hits. I figured people would get all the upgrades early if they farmed as you did with the strength so I made the later levels hard even with all the upgrades. Thank you for pointing it out tho if I make another similar game I will address that a little more.

I liked it

I really liked it... The only thing I thought was annoying was that the best strategy seemed to be to stay in the middle on top of the cell, then every so often running out and getting white blood cells.
I wished there were a few more upgrades, but this game is very good.

dddocrack responds:

Thank you sir.
