Reviews for "Noir Yume"

Loved It

That was creepy and well drawn. Very nice FBF. I also loved the 3D perspectives. Most FBF that I see is just randomness, but this had some great suspense and creepy settings. I hope to see more from you.

Awesome!

Great job! Especially for a first time flash!

Could've been more...

So you did that whole filming with videocam and sketch it up-thingy? Actually it adds a decent effect to the "scary factor", however it was a bit too white and empty.
A lot is missing "story" wise. There is no real story and we are completely aware of what's going on. Guy does something to a book, eecky thing comes out of the book, guy runs, eecky thing catches guy and posses him (Makes him supa eveeil?)? Help us out a bit... Give us a book title perhaps to let us know that "wooh this is one evil ass book".
Also slow the tempo down... Create a mood. You just jump right into it as if where introduces to a story right in the middle of it. My suggestion is that you use some better ambience music to enhance eecky-nizz, introduce us to the book with a title so we know what the frick is going down here, and give us a bit of an introduction. Watch the guy read the book while the ambience increases. Watch him hesitate to do whatever he did with the book (What does he do?). Stuff like that. The chase was pretty good. The panic was enhanced with the handheld recordings you did.

The "creepy" sound made me think of furios chihuahuas.

I gave it a 3/10 to help it pass judgement. While it's not spectacular it at least deserves to get by.

Hmmmmmm

Nice idea to rotooscope, but the lack of color and unfinished lines made it look kind of half assed. sorry to be harsh but i just think it looks like u rushed it and could have put in more time to have at least better lines or something

Radica1Faith responds:

yeah you're right it was rushed. I found out about the Halloween flash off less than a week ago. But the lack of color and unfinished lines were entirely intentional. I was going for an impressionistic approach.
