Reviews for "Khronos"

it tis really good

but some improvements could be made.

Definitely has potential...

The combo system is amazing, I had a lot of fun testing it and learning the combos. But the combat lacks flow of movement and speed, not to mention that the enemies attacks are kind dull and predictable...but I liked a lot the fact that you can chop off their bodies and they attack you even if they have only legs.
The animation is incredible, even if the design of the game looks kinda gross (to me, of course)
I didn't play for long, because despite the fun (for a while) combat, the gameplay needs some improvement. The story, until the point I played, seemed unexistent.

So...I think the game could be really amazing if you put in the right elements. So keep up the good work.

hmm. . .

kinda lame, i was hoping for something better when i pressed game start

god of war rip off

it is just a God of War clone in arena mode only. Done well I might add, but still lacking in any thing, but fighting, but the fighting is done rather well. Nice combos, a couple of specials (Different animations that is...) and the detail to armor and limbs coming off was really great.
However, due to all this stuff coming off, later on it was really slowing down my lap top. True my lap top is not all that great, but there was not an option to change the detail that I could see and that is a major no go. (Unless it is done automatically.)
Also, although there were some spectacular combos... the combos were named 1, 2, 3 etc. Like you rushed it and did not bother giving them any kind of cool names.
The guys with only the waist and their legs caused me more trouble than those with full armor and both weapons. I understand their height has been shortened... so to speak, but getting kicked is quite annoying and over shooting them due to their shortened height is also annoying when you do a flying attack either against it or against another fully limbed opponent next to it.
The story... what story? Where it be I ask? Guy dies and gets sent to the underworld and then he fights for the sake of fighting... not much to go on. I beat all three scenarios, did not see an ending. Survival usually means fight until you die and you will die eventually or get so bored you shut the game off so I did not bother with it much, plus it was still slowing down. In fact the 3 different missions was just survival except it had a set amount of enemies... do we see the problem?
The scenery... bland maps. Not much going for you there. I wanted to see interactive maps. Maybe with an uppercut technique you could make them fall into the lava or blood pit and die like in Mortal Kombat. Or on the stage with the grates on the floor fire could come up... or the figures on the walls would come to life and grab you to pull you to them or the enemy in to eat you or them or harm you or to tear you apart, like several of them rip your limbs off or some thing trying to fight over you or at the very least they could be moaning on the wall even if they could not grab you. Or the 3rd mission the skeletons could pull you over the edge into the lava or blood. Just some thing more interesting.
Enemies... they were all the same, just different weapons and colored armor for the most part. Was the last guy on the 3rd mission Sish or at least a boss? Besides taking a lot longer to kill... he barely hit me.
I think if you could upgrade your guy and perhaps gain more combos either through straight killing or gaining "orbs" it would make it worth replaying a few times. As it is now you have every thing, just not the extra Khronos's who are all the same in techniques, but slightly different in stamina or regeneration etc. If God of War had every thing from the start (And he kept them.) it would have been a boring game. The point was to gain the powers and keep getting better and better. Might add to the story as well. Maybe if he could use different weapons thus also making new techniques it would give it better replay value.
The music... just looped over and over again and the 3rd mission was about a 12 second loop... WTF!?! And the sounds... not very many. A sword clang or two and the sound of weapons hitting the body, no moans or screams from you or the enemy and a couple of weapon swings "whoosh" sounds is all there is, not counting the announcer telling you how "elite" you are.
Looking and listening to the title screen with the guy saying the name of the main character you are thinking it is going to be a great game, but then you play the game and you realize it is just so so. The amount of detail to flying off armor, limbs and weapons was nice and you made a fighting game with some flash... but it is a bit empty. Decent job though.

This is front page stuff, except a few things...

This game is definitely enjoyable, and the dozens of different combos is the main thing that makes this game different. These people just don't understand that sometimes you don't need to memorize every single combo and sometimes you just need to go with the flow, but I have no complaints about the concept of the gameplay.

However, the players movements are extremely slow, so it is very easy for the attacker to get a hit in between attacks, especially the jump attacks. I think if you made everything a little bit faster, more fast-paced action, it would have been just perfect. The regeneration does help, but it can only do so much.

The music is hardcore enough, but it's way too short and starts to repeat itself over again a bit too much. Also as a loop, the beginning of the song should tie in with the ending of the song otherwise there's always that pause there which is when we know it's going to start again.

Otherwise this is an extremely decent game.
