You've got a talent, my friend
Being a fan of musical ingenuity and a person who loves (and works with) games, this shit that you do is doubly awesome to me. I would love for you to push out more original work, to listen to and work to, and even put in some little sprite games that i make.
Keep it up, man. One of these days I might just ask you to throw down some wicked tracks to put into any of my future works (If I can get my ass to working on it, that is).
Original yet a blast from the past
It has an excellent pace to it. if i remember correctly it has that mega man music feel which is fast pace at points. That however is not a bad thing, being that you may or may not have drawn from that inspiration changes nothing of the quality of the final rendition. Most of all is how it all flows together and that is probably the biggest part of this song. the transitions from fast pace to slow is that flow im talking about, which you have down to an art form.
Overall nothing to criticize. Even the length of the song is good.
One thing i can say is make a CD with a compilation, id buy that.
