Reviews for "Zombie Attack R"

meh

if you had a score and kill count it would be better, plus you die without actually getting touched, the graphics are ok, just a bit of variety would be nice

chinkeeyong responds:

You do have such a score and kill count, but it's internally calculated. The dying is due to the imperfect collision detection code (which is MUCH more efficient than "perfect" collision detection) and what variety can you expect from a flash game!?

good game

this game is preety good but it would be MUCH Better with sound

chinkeeyong responds:

Yeah, I'm trying to get it in, but it's not working!! Thanks for the review.

alright

pretty cool game.

some suggestions- zombies that need to be shot more than once.
different levels ( say follow a story line?)
maybe a reload time so you cant just spam click lol

other than that its all G good job.

chinkeeyong responds:

Hey, thanks for reviewing!

Zombies which need to be shot more than once are interesting - I'll see what I can do with that.
Following a storyline is also a great idea, but it's already tough work doing these 5 backgrounds. D:
I was going to add a reload button, but ditched it in favor of more puzzle-type gameplay. I need something to differentiate Zombie Attack R from the regular masses after all.

(Thumbs up)

I think I recall playing the original, and yes, this is so much better, thank you for updating it. I didn't mind the lack of sound - I always have music blasting anyway and pausing it to play games on NG is always such a hassle. The only thing I could recommend for later editions is perhaps a scoring system, and something keeping track of scores (not necessarily a wordwide highscores, as I've heard that can be complicated, but maybe a 'your best score' type of thing). Time limits wouldn't be half-bad either, but as it was, the graphics were simple, clean-cut and very improved and it was actually pretty addictive. Keep working on it and you might start getting a lot more praise for it. As it was, I had quite a bit of fun with it. Nice going. <3

chinkeeyong responds:

Haha, a long-time fan! A "your best score" feature would be slightly difficult to implement as it requires writing data to the user's disk, which I have no idea how to do. I purposely never wanted to put music in Zombie Attack at all, but player preference forces me to add some in the next part of the series. :P As for time limits, they're actually a great idea (I need to milk NG members for ideas more often) and I'll try to implement them sometime. Thx!!

Still needs alot of work.

The game itself has potential, but sound is a definite must. The key to having a good game is putting variety into the gameplay, so different weapons. (A store or something) always helps.

I got really bored with it very quickly honestly. You got potential, but until you clean it up and put in those bells and whistles it won't be given a good score.

chinkeeyong responds:

"Knives"? Best...username...ever.

Sound is pretty cool, I guess, but the game has its own character right now - it just reminds me of silent films and it's too cool. I tried to add different weapons, but the coding gave me so much grief I just abandoned it.

Thanks for giving a honest score and constructive criticism. The next instalment is likely going to include powerups and more zombie types, so I hope that will meet your demands!
