and for what this reminds me of, your fighting the final boss of a old school retro RPG and if you loose the world is doomed. this music screams Were depending on you, you mustn't fail!
Strong and Determined
It makes me just want to go kick the last boss' ass. It is a very determined "finale" style song. I think the length makes it seem even more so dramatic. The variety of instruments really gave it some color. I don't even know where you came up with such a brilliant tune.

I notice you tried to bring in variations, most notably the (identical?) breaks starting at 1:26, 3:20 and 5:15. But I don't think they are enough to warrant expanding the whole thing out to almost 8 minutes. Personally, I'd think condensing it down a bit would make for an even more dramatic song.
