Not bad...
For your first flash movie, it wasn't bad. Next time, try making the comedy a bit more...obvious. Speech bubbles and whatnot. To the unwashed masses, it'd be easy to miss the comedy of the super-acrobatic mario.
Oh, and props for using the original Super Mario!

For a first effort the animation on this wasn't half bad. Sound effects were placed nicely and although I'm not a fan of the NES sprites they all looked reasonabl;y good.
In your next flash try and put a good story into it, or if you are doing a short make some sort of joke with a definite punchline. Custom sprites and animated backgrounds are also a must for decent sprite movies.
