Really great entry for the contest! Heh, my last name also starts with a G, and my first name is david =p. I see you didn't go with the 1-up idea, pretty cool going with the star instead. Really enjoyed it, random Michael Jackson. Great animation and spriting.

My Reason
Well, unlike some critics, i can a appreciate a good contest entry when i see one. True this one might not have been all flashy like the other ones but it is just as good. i mean how many people can even do sprite animation.

Why did this awesome flash get such a bad score? this is way better then the score it got, sry guy i could only give you (+0.029) i wish this would have done better

Besides a couple funny parts, it's like a good joke that's been thrown at us a couple times. I mean it was good the first two times but c'mon we get it. Mario chases this black shelled turtle (is that an innuendo?), Beatles music/chase all the way through the end were Mario either doesn't get the star OR he does and ends up dieing. We got it the first time...yo. >_>
Oh ok, Sorry about that. I'll try not to do that next time. *rolls eyes*, it was for a contest dude. It had to meet cetain criteria, your just giving me bad review because I submitted my entry after everyone else. I know its not as good as the other ones, but I think I deserve a bit better than a 6.

What is it with everyone copying that one flash animation? seriously!
i mean the first one was.. ok becuase he was remaking something a flashnoob did and just making it the way he was originally intending it to be, the second remake by someone else was.. unnessesary, and now this one?
i mean i suposse i technically have to give it points for quality but your getting a low score becuase your just reusing the same concept thats been redone way too many times already.. that and that gay ass song is startin to piss me off.
Come up with your own storyline and you'll get more points for it.
