I don't know why people think this is so great, it's poorly animated, and the pixels were all over the place.
I think it would have been a lot more of an original concept if you had actually animated it with pixels, rather then just making sprites out of pixels and using them normally.
My biggest complaint is the animation of the walking.

I hope to see many-a-more twists pulled on the flashes to come, this one was very original. The sprite silly-ness and pixelated blood makes me wish this was an actual 8bit game!
Yeah, this as a game would be sweet, maybe that's something for next year!

I always thought it would be cool if someone did this. You did a nice job with the background and items, but I thought the characters could've used some work. The best part of this, and I'm sure everyone can agree with me, was the ending. So unpredictable and random, just like Madness is sometimes.
Interesting, I would like to see some of your pixel stuff, especially if you had already done a bit of your pixel madness thing =D
