Reviews for "rising of the land"

Very cool.

This is my first time listening to your stuff. You have some quality skills there man, both in composing and guitar playing. You make some interesting music. Keep up the good work, and don't be surprised if your songs get a score boost after I'm done reviewing this tune. ;)

pitbulljones responds:

thankyou for taking the time to go and review this track, every tme i get a review it spurs me on. i hope you enjoyed it, and thanks very much for the scoring.... i'm getting bashed by the trolls lately so it helps to keep these songs alive.

I love the drums~!

The drums in the song were really good. Astounding? Lol I dunno the words. But yeh the song waaaas interesting. I have no further comments of being better, just inspiration. Keep up the good work :-D

pitbulljones responds:

thanks Ltblackshadow, means a lot when i get reviews. The drums are a group of loops i have in my libary, all fucked around with and layered and beat matched, but i'm moving away from using them nowadays. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm just after a good singer and some lyrics for this and it'll be done, oh and a horn part for when the guitar kicks in.

nice

this is my first time actaully hiting the audio portal, but i have to say this song is great. I'm adding it to my normal play lists, fucking A great job man

pitbulljones responds:

Cheers dogmeat (lol), glad to know you're liking my stuff and getting added to someones playlist is always a compliment, it shows that im doing something right, if not always good. yea man hopefully i can inspire you enough to bang out your own stuff, let meknow when you have some songs up, i'll gladly review you.

thanks again.

very good

I really like the track, What did you use for the drums?

pitbulljones responds:

Cheers grimace, nice short review there. the drums are taken form my sample liabary, theres about 8 loops which ive chopped up and shaped to my own accord with a lot of beat matching going on, this was before i had fruityloops to constrcut my own from scratch, it's hard work i tell thee.

keep coming bk as im always gotsomething going on.

"...deserved a metaphor for a review."

The slow beginning is deceptive. Subtle, no doubt. Suddenly, the grungy guitars and fast-paced, distorted guitars invade the listener, taking him off-guard, stripping him of any defenses, and plummeting the unfortunate victim into a river of whitewater depth. Not a bad metaphor... I mean it. The grungy part of the song reminds me of a rugged river... and then suddenly, the listener is gentled into a delta in the river, a smoother part of the song where the drums remain... and a house-like genre is discovered. This song deserved a metaphor for a review.
