Wow, this was amazing and such a vast improvement over Escape From Elm Street (Even if I really like that one as well.)
It's atmospheric, challenging and rewarding. I became determined to find all of the files. I love when games include collectibles like that. It was also a nice touch to have the villain not actually be Jason but an obsessed fanatic. Otherwise how would you really be able to kill Jason? The first baseball bat fight was a little tricky since I am using a crappy laptop and have a condition that makes precise hand-eye movements pretty tough but I finally managed to get it.
Anyways, this was a tremendous game. This was my first time playing it and it has aged very well. It doesn't really feel dated. Lastly, being able to play a little bit of the NES game was fucking nice.
You get all of my 5.
*Also, I LOVED the AVGN reference. That is one of my favorite episodes of his and I wasn't expecting to see his quote in this game.
