Reviews for "Knight of the Dead"

Eh.

I've seen it before. Besides that, the character was way too slow, there was no point in jumping, and pretty much no point in the shield (except prolonging the inevitable hit you're going to take). The amulets were interesting concepts, but the gameplay itself got extremely repetitive, and if you were caught in the middle of two hordes of zombies, you were fucked. And then, after level 10, you just get a black screen that says "Game over. Retry?" Whatever.

Eh.

No appeal

Comon everyones made these types of games.
#1 What is the characters name?
#2 Why is he fighting random hordes of zombies
#3 why does almost every level look the same except the backround
#4 Why do all the zombies look the same
#5 The money bags drop so rarely because its random that you cant buy anything good
#6 There is no story, and by the time you got the last weapon you would be bored out of your mind from killing the same zombies

well, its pretty unoriginal

i dont see any good reason to do this. it sucks. plain and simple. i got to take shyt, and theres no pause button. ooooh wellll. try better next time, or just dont make it.

poor design, good production

The bells and whistles are nice, but the game itself brings nothing new to the table. Okay, you can hit the zombie with your shield while blocking, so you basically can't lose. Okay, your weapon can be upgraded. Okay, you have amulets that may randomly do something marginally useful.

The fact is, there's no strategy to killing the same bland set of enemies over and over, much less to picking upgrades. I could accept this if the game was focused on action rather than strategy, but it's way, way too slow paced to be entertaining in that respect. The zombies are slow, the knight walks slow, he swings his sword slow (and kind of awkwardly), and he can't even jump high and far enough to avoid picking up an item.

You should redesign this game with more innovative ideas for enemies and more options for the player. Even more importantly, make the game more fast paced and make the character more dynamic. Keep the art, because that's pretty good.

..kinda lame

there was no point in jumping the shield repelled enemies like an inch away so by the time you got back to your weapon they were there again and if you got stuck between enemies you were dead...make the controls better with some better collision detection i.e. you couldn't hit the enemies untill they were too close and maybe some better weapon variety. Pretty much make it like G&G
