Reviews for "Haunted House of Terror"

Nice

Good flash, made me chuckle a bit. And despite what others have said I got the humor out of it just fine even though I have never played this domo game. Good work.

DOMOFlashVideos responds:

Well you don't need to have played it to understand it..
At least i didn't think so. (Although it appears to have come off like that)

Creative, Dry Humor...

This isn't what I would call Sprites, but if you wish to call it that I guess you can. The humor itself was almost as good as the scary aspect (Yes, I know you weren't trying to make it scary-thats the point). As for as far as the graphics go they weren't sprites like I mention'd before but it was a decent enough level. The Music was standard and there wasn't any Audio but was stated previously so I ignored that. As for Text it was also mentioned it wasn't ment or intended souly for english speaking viewers so I also ignored that also since I can only speak English.

DOMOFlashVideos responds:

If you are speaking of sprites as in 16 bit etc.
That is not what this is, at all.
The race of the main character is generally referred too as a sprite.
I'd also like to point out, Music is a form of audio.
Audio is what you hear, be it music voices sounds etc.

lol^^

good job

It was ok.

Ah do I see a parody mixed in with satire? For those who are thick this game is a parody of DOMO and a satire of Super Mario World and at least one major horror flick (The Ring.) Now I'm going to give you an extra point simply for being able to mix in so many different ingredients for a result that is perplexing enjoyable to watch. I have yet to see anyone try to do things of this sort so another point for creativity.

The animation wasn't superb, but I think it fit the cartoon so I won't mark off too much for that. It did help add a tad bit of perplexed joy to the various "What the fuck?" moments in the game.

I will simply point out that this flash's humor is very unique, but sadly I didn't really find it funny.

Lets ignore those two and talk about the juicy parts, the immersion. Sadly this flash lacks a bit in that, for various reasons. It's too short, you don't really know what is going on besides the basic premise, and it contains a lot of inside jokes that probably won't be understood for those who haven't put the time into playing DOMO. I don't think this is a flash for outsiders really.

All in all you get a seven, the drawing and animation mixed well with the creativity of the flash, but the lack of immersion (Or ability to be pulled into the flash, hooked in and such,) really stopped it from being anything spectacular.

Good

Isn't funny particularly, but works generally as a showcase of good animation
