--- but I would have enjoyed it much more if hit detection was better (I often ended up getting hit by a laser beam that was more than 10! pixels away from my ship) and if the 200-point ships wouldn't have disappeared.
Seeing that you seem to be a beginner with flash, this is pretty ok for the first time, and maybe when you get more advanced you can redo this.
3/5 for something that needs improvement...

The mothership should go across the whole screen, and have sound. And add some invulnerably time after you spawn so you can't get killed right when you spawn.

I respect bringing a classic game to Newgrounds, but I was never a fan of it and I prefer to see original works.
I just think...
that you could do something more original than this. The game plays well though. Go for something that you can do and be proud of submitting. Good luck on your next project........vp
